Term for the usually round pellets contained in a <link glossary>shotshell, conventionally made of lead alloy, today also partially made of alternative material, e.g. <link glossary>soft iron.
The shot pellets are characterized by the <link glossary>shot pellet size and the <link glossary>shot pellet number.
